“Oh hey there! It’s me; Anxiety! You’re allowing me to creep into your life, again. I’m tricky like that!”

Yep. This happened. I allowed my anxiety to creep back in. BUT only for a quick minute!

Guess what? We actually have complete control over our anxiety. Did you know that it’s a mental game? At least, that’s my-so-called “technical term” for it!

I found that every time I was suffering through an episode, I was worrying. Worrying about what?! Fear overcomes our mind, so much so, that it is consuming us! Think about this. When you’re feeling anxious, ask yourself– “What am I so fearful of in this moment?” I bet you’ll have an answer. HECK, I’ll even bet you that it’s not a good answer!

Why?

Because of this oldie, but goody:

                            “The only thing you have to fear, is fear itself”

Anxiety is really all in our brain. Sure, there are many, many things that can attribute to anxiety, but we are really feeding into it and allowing ourselves a free pass on this crazy roller coaster ride, day in and day out.

STOP.it.

But HOW?

Some say, easier said than done. I beg to differ, being that I have overcome my anxiety. And I’m going to share this now.

Enter: Meditation.

Go ahead, laugh if you’d like.

I get it–most of us, especially us anxious beings, can’t sit still for very long. Really, it’s not that hard. I urge you to give it a try. Meditation, not medication!, has really been my saving grace.

Do you want to know something? It really, really doesn’t take much work, just practice.

I dedicate between 5-10 minutes a day. That’s it!
